Coach Conder is entering his 2nd season for the Plainsmen and his 19th season of coaching with recent stops in Texas and Arizona. Coach Conder has been a part of mulitple state championship teams throughout his 18 years. His son Cash is a current student and football player at West Texas A&M and is majoring in Business. His son Chase will be a freshmen at Oklahoma State University. Brady, the youngest of three boys will be attending Waller Middle School. Cameron and his wife Shanan have been married for 20 years and enjoy watching all 3 of their boys fulfill their dreams!
Offensive Line/Run Game Coordinator/ Offensive Special Teams/ Strength & Conditioning Coach
Coaching: Coach Smith is entering his first season for the Plainsmen. He joins the staff after recently spending his past two seasons coaching for the Celina Bobcats in Texas. The Bobcats were 27-4 during his two seasons in Celina including trips to the semi-finals in 2014 and a 15-1 state runner-up finish in 2015. His offensive line paved the way for a record breaking season for the Bobcats where they racked up over 7,200 yards of offense and 782 points (48.8 per game). His line also gave up just 8 sacks in 282 pass attempts (1 per 35 pass attempts) from their star quarterback.
College: Prior to coaching, Coach Smith played offensive line at Southern Illinois University from 2006-2009. A team captain and team council member, he played during the winningest 4 years in school history where they finished 3 of their 4 seasons ranked inside the top 10 nationally (2008: 11th nationally). As a player, Shawn Smith was an all-conference selection that started 52 straight games, which is still a record for the Salukis.
High School: Born and raised in Hutchinson, Kansas, Coach Smith was a team captain, first-team all-state player, and was selected to play in the East-West Shrine Bowl all-star game. He was a 3-year starter for the Salthawks that complied a 34-4 record and won the 2004 6a state championship.
Sears starts his 5th year coaching the Plainsmen. He is from Enid and played for Enid High from ’93-’95 and for the Nebraska Cornhuskers National title teams in ’95. He stayed on as an undergraduate assistant to the Defensive End Coach. He has played Arena Football and Professional Indoor Football. He coached DE/LB at Beatrice High School in Beatrice, Nebraska. He is married to Barbara and has eight children: Courtney McPhearson (20), JaeShawn (16), TajaDea (13), Adarakang (10), Luka (8), Maggie (6), Ja’Ce (5), and ZaDee (3).
Coach Jake Hayes grew up in Plano, TX. He played for Head Coach Steve Hayes in HS at Trinity Christian Academy (’11). He graduated from Evangel University, in Springfield, MO while also assisting the football team in a student assistant role. During his 3 years coaching at Evangel, he coached on the defensive side of the ball; working with corners in year one and linebackers in the following two years. He also headed up equipment and assisted in weekly opponent scout preparation. During his time at Evangel, the team compiled a 13-19 record while competing in the Heart of American Athletic Conference (NAIA). In his duties as a linebacker’s coach, he helped tutor two all-conference performers in 2014 and 2015. Additionally, in 2015, he saw one of those linebackers end the season leading the conference in tackles. Hayes will also be coaching P.E. At Glenwood Elementary School. Jake is married to Natalie, who teaches kindergarten at Taft Elementary.
Middle School Football Director
Bruce Richmond is the Head Middle School Football, Basketball and Tennis Coach. He hopes to make an impact on the kids’ lives in sports and in everyday life. He encourages them to be the best they can be on and off the field or court. He encourages all students to set goals and strive to achieve them. Before becoming a coach with EPS, Bruce worked for 20 years as Advance Food Company where he worked in several departments ending his career as a manager. He was always a leader and looked up to by his employees and colleagues. Bruce was born in Washington DC and moved to Oklahoma where he attended Enid schools, graduating from Chisholm High School in 1984. He was a walk on football player at SWOSU for 2 years. He made his home in Enid where he still resides with his son Gavin. He enjoys coaching and spending time with his grandchildren and dogs.
Coach Aguilar teaches PE at Garfield Elementary and is in his third year of coaching football. He coached 8th grade for two years and is now in his first year with the freshman. Along with football, he coaches Middle School track and wrestling. He is married to Jamie, who also teaches Kindergarten at Garfield, and we have a daughter in 8th grade at Emerson and a daughter in 5th grade at Garfield.
Coach Young is entering his first season for the Plainsmen and his 18th year coaching and teaching in Oklahoma and Texas. Coach Young is a 1993 graduate of Enid High School. He will be teaching US History and AP US History at the high school. His wife, Nikki, teaches 1st grade in Kingfisher. Their daughter, Kylee, and son, Coltyn, both attend Kingfisher High School.
Dusty graduated from Empire High School in Duncan, OK. He has previous coaching stints at Broken Arrow High School and El Reno High School. He has a 3 ½ year old son, Camden. Quarles is entering his fourth year at Enid High School teaching World History.
Freshman Football/ Varsity Offensive Assistant
Coach Bridenstine is married to Brenda and they have two children, Garrett, who is a junior and Kyler, who is a sophomore at Enid High School. He graduated from Oklahoma Panhandle State University where he majored in Math Education. He has been teaching and coaching for 19 years.
Entering his third year of coaching football, Coach English graduated from Ponca City High School where he was a three year lettermen in football. He played college football at Friends University in Wichita, KS. He graduated from NWOSU with a degree in Psychology. He is married to Maria and has three kids, Lucian (6), Elijah Brueggemann (4), and Josyln (2).
