Meet the EHS Coaches
ASSISTANT HEAD COACH, OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR,
Coach Conder is entering his 3rd season for the Plainsmen and his 20th season of coaching with recent stops in Texas and Arizona. Coach Conder has been a part of mulitple state championship teams throughout his 19 years. His son Cash is currently on the Enid football staff and former player at West Texas A&M. His son Chase will be a sophomore at NOC after spending last year in Stillwater attending OSU. Brady, the youngest of three boys will be attending Waller Middle School and will be playing 7th grade football for the Plainsmen. Cameron and his wife Shanan have been married for 20 years and enjoy watching all 3 of their boys fulfill their dreams!
DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR, OUTSIDE LBs
Coach Young is entering his second season for the Plainsmen and his 19th year coaching and teaching in Oklahoma and Texas. Coach Young is a 1993 graduate of Enid High School. He will be teaching US History and AP US History at the high school. His wife, Nikki, teaches 1st grade in Kingfisher. Their daughter, Kylee, and son, Coltyn, both attend Kingfisher High School.
All-American linebacker played and graduated from Enid High in 1995
went to play at the University of Nebraska won 2 national championships
95 and 97. Undergraduate coached defensive ends at the University of
Nebraska in 1998-2000. Played 4 years of arena and indoor football,
coached defensive ends at Beatrice High School in Beatrice, Nebraska.
Came to Enid High spring of 2011, coached running backs for three
years, changed to defensive end/defensive line coach since 2015. Also
is Enid High head track coach. Wife Barbara Noack-Sears, kids Courtney
McPherson 21, JaeShaun Sears 17 is the starting WB/CB on the team,
TajaDea 14, AdaraKane 11, Luka 9, Maggie 7, Ja’Ce 6, Zadee 7
RECEIVERS, EFBC AD SALES
Coach Jake Hayes grew up in Plano, TX. He played for Head Coach
Steve Hayes in HS at Trinity Christian Academy (’11). He graduated
from Evangel University in Springfield, MO (’16) with a B.S. in Physical
Education. During his time at Evangel he also coached on the defensive
staff for the Crusaders. During his 3 years coaching defense he coached
corners in year 1, and linebackers for the remaining two years. He
also headed up equipment and assisted in weekly opponent scout
preparation. During his time at Evangel, the team compiled a 13-19
record while competing in the Heart of America Athletic Conference (NAIA). In his duties as linebackers coach, he helped tutor two allconference
performers in 2015 and one in 2014. Additionally, in 2015,
he saw one of those linebackers end the season leading the conference
in tackles. Hayes also teaches P.E. at Glenwood Elementary School.
Jake is married to Natalie Hayes, who teaches kindergarten at Taft
Quarles enters his 5th season with the Plainsmen. He makes the the
move to corners this year, after having served the defensive line the past
three seasons. Quarles teaches World History at Enid High School and
has previous coaching stints at Broken Arrow under Ron Lancaster, and
El Reno under Tom Cobble (both former Plainsmen coaches). He has a
four year old son named Camden.
Coach McGill is entering his 1st season for the Plainsmen and his 7th season
coaching with stops in North Dakota and South Dakota. He joins the staff after
recently spending his past four seasons coaching for Mayville State University
in North Dakota. Coach McGill was the Defensive Coordinator/Linebackers
coach for his last 2 seasons at Mayville State. The 2016 defense highlighted the
four seasons by ranking 7th in the country in total defense. Before coaching at
Mayville State, McGill coached football at Bon Home High School while finishing up his bachelor’s degree. McGill is a Tyndall, South Dakota native and graduated from Bon Homme High School. He played football for Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa. McGill completed his B.S. in Physical Education from the University of South Dakota and his master’s degree in Leadership in Physical Education and Sport at North Dakota State University. He will be teaching Computer Applications at Enid High School. He lives with his girlfriend Jenna in Enid.
Coach English enters his 4th year of coaching Plainsmen football. Second
year as freshmen RB/LB coach. English graduated from Ponca City high
school where he was 3 yr Letterman in football. Played collegiately at
Friends University(Wichita,KS) for two years. Graduated with Psychology
degree from NWOSU(Enid).English is the ISP teacher at Waller. He
has been married to Maria English for 1 year. They have 4 boys Z.J.
Washington(16),Marzell Washington(15),Lucian (7),and Eli English(5).
One daughter Princess Joslyn Alva English.
JUNIOR HIGH FOOTBALL DIRECTOR
Bruce Richmond is the Head Middle School Football, Basketball and
Tennis Coach. He hopes to make an impact on the kids’ lives in sports
and in everyday life. He encourages them to be the best they can be on
and off the field or court. He encourages all students to set goals and strive to achieve them. Before becoming a coach with EPS, Bruce worked for 20 years at Advance Food Company where he worked in several departments ending his
career as a manager. He was always a leader and looked up to by his
employees and colleagues. Bruce was born in Washington DC and moved to Oklahoma where he attended Enid schools, graduating from Chisholm High School in 1984. He was a walk on football player at SWOSU for 2 years. He made his home in Enid where he still resides with his son Gavin. He enjoys coaching and spending time with his grandchildren and dogs.
